History

Dealer Services International is a business unit of Transamerican Auto Parts LLC., which was established in 1965. The company originally started by offering aftermarket accessory components to Jeep Dealerships. Under private ownership the company grew substantially, and in 2005 the Transamerican Auto Parts management team chose to partner with Bear Sterns Merchant Banking (BSMB): one of the nation's largest securities firms with over $52 Billion of total capital. Today Transamerican Auto Parts and its related companies encompass National Retail Operations, Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, and of course, Dealer Services.

Today DSI conducts business with over 2,000 dealerships across the nation; our reputation has spread internationally among dealers abroad, allowing us to conduct business in many countries. Currently our 60 service centers build on average 700+ vehicles per month, making DSI the largest Up-fitter in the nation. Our Dealer Direct parts program has grown rapidly as well, providing comprehensive vehicle packages to dealers who wish to perform their own installations. In all, DSI supplies over 1,200 custom vehicle packages monthly.
